HOW PRETTY?
Beautiful. Was voted one of Texas's top parks in 2010 (per Yelp).
TYPE OF PATH:
Paved and Dirt Trail
DOG FRIENDLY?
FOR RUNNING: Yes!
FOR PLAYGROUNDING: Yes!
PLAYSCAPE FEATURES:
PLAYSCAPE SURFACE:
BATHROOMS (BECAUSE POTTY TRAINING HAPPENS):
Men's and Women's restroom both with 2 stalls located near the playground. It's a bit of a trek up the hill to the stalls, but they are quite clean.
PARKING:
Ample--multiple parking lots make it easy to park closest to what you've come for.
EXTRAS:
Donkeys! Bring some carrots or an apple and have fun feeding the donkeys after your run
RV Campsites. This would be such a fun place to spend the weekend
Memorial Garden
Kids Bike Route
SUGGESTED ROUTE(S):
Begin at the playground and head Northwest. Follow the paved trail until you come to a roundabout, then head back the same way you went. Right before you're back at you're starting point, you'll see a nature trail that branches off the paved trail to the Southwest (on your right). Follow the most used route (the widest and least plant-inhabited roadway). This route will take you by a lookout point, through the campgrounds and over a boardwalk. You'll round the loop by coming through a beautiful canopy of trees. 3.1 miles
