LOCATION: On the southwest side of 620 + Bee Caves Parkway 13676 Bee Cave Parkway Bee Cave, TX 78738
DISTANCE: The paved trail around the park is approximately 1.8 miles in length, but you can shorten or elongate that by doing figure 8's, multiple loops or circling back on an earlier cut-through.
HOW TOUGH?: TWO BATS: The park is beautiful and quite hilly, so matter which direction you choose to run, you are bound to go uphill at some point.
Bring HOW PRETTY? The playscape is pretty--surround by large open fields of flowers and its set up on a hill, so you can see various parts of Lakeway/Bee Cave from the playground.
TYPE OF PATH: paved, white cement
DOG FRIENDLY? For running: Yes. There are even two dog parks along the route! For playgrounding: Maybe it's best to leave pup pup at the dog park.
PLAYSCAPE FEATURES: this playscape is built for 4+ year olds (but further down the parking lot is a playscape that looks more conducive for wee ones). There are some trickier sections of the playscape that may intimidate the littler ones. Picnic tables (under an overhang)--the space can and might be rented when you are there 2 big kid swings, 2 bucket swings Multiple bridge, tunnels and climbing thingies huge caterpillar-like structure for climbing in/through/around lots of wire mesh work climbing wall (and another at the smaller playscape as well)
PLAYSCAPE SURFACE: The playscape is padded with recycled rubber tires, so its fun to 'bounce.' The entire playscape is covered with 3 large canopies, so finding shade is possible. YEAH!
BATHROOMS (BECAUSE POTTY TRAINING HAPPENS): Nice bathrooms right near the playscape. Two stalls in the women's, and I assume the same for the men's.
EXTRAS: Huge basketball area (6 hoops)--can also be great for some scooter riding. Bring your sidewalk chalk. There is a TON of open concrete space for drawing. SUGGESTED ROUTE(S):
