HOW PRETTY?
The west and south sections are tree-lined, shaded, and quiet. The north and east sections are along pretty major roads, but still have plenty to look at (and a nice breeze from passing traffic).
TYPE OF PATH:
Dirt Trail
DOG FRIENDLY?
FOR RUNNING: Yes!
FOR PLAYGROUNDING: Yes!
PLAYSCAPE FEATURES:
Geared toward kiddos 3+, this playground has a notoriously fast slide with a pretty high drop-off at the end. However, its proximity to a bunch of stores and restaurants makes it worth the trip!
PLAYSCAPE SURFACE:
Mulch
BATHROOMS (BECAUSE POTTY TRAINING HAPPENS):
No bathrooms on the trail, but plenty of places where you can pop into a business and do your business. Costco, Whole Foods, Chuy's, Mandola's (the restaurant with fully-stocked changing tables in both the men's and women's bathrooms), The Little Gym, Cheddars, Kerbey Lane, Torchy's, etc.
PARKING:
The trail has several entrances, but you can usually find a shady spot to park in the Whole Foods lot, where you can hop onto the trail and start running.
EXTRAS:
As previously mentioned, this trail encircles a huge shopping center, so after your super fast running lulls your little one(s) to sleep, you can get a little shopping done, too! Or reward yourself for all your hard work with a quick bite to eat at one of the eateries.
